Mid-February, I went location scouting for nearly two weeks in Morocco for the upcoming film Nail in the Sky.
Many of the locations were very interesting. In addition to visiting the country’s main places, in the likes of touristic cities Casablanca, Rabat, Agadir, Essaouira and Marrakech, I also visited the south of Morocco, with Guelmim (nicknamed ‘the Door to the Sahara’) and small isolated towns such as Ifrane Atlas-Saghir and Aït Baha, where the locals (berbers) and their traditions were particularly interesting, friendly and authentic.
I, thus, come back with two collections of photographs:
- one comprised of colour pictures, entitled Colours of Morocco
- one composed of monochromatic stills, Morocco in Black & White
Through these photographs, I have tried to capture the “spirit” of people and places in Morocco. I hope that you enjoy them.
